How It Works:
LB Extract is a lower bowel liquid herbal laxative formula of 10 herbs. Liquid extracts are fast-acting. A principle herb in this formula is cascara sagrada. First named “sacred bark” by 16thcentury Spanish explorers, cascara sagrada has become one of the most widely used herbal laxative medicines. In traditional systems of herbal medicine, the foundation of good health requires maintaining a properly functioning intestinal system. The lower bowel, or colon, is considered the toxic waste site for the body. Thus, regular bowel movements is how the body rids itself of toxin-containing waste.
 
Ingredients:
Medicinal Ingredients: One teaspoon (5mL) contains Rhamnus purshiana (cascara sagrada) bark 315 mg, Cassia senna (senna) leaves 315 mg, Rhamnus frangula (buckthorn) bark 150 mg, Plantago psyllium (psyllium) seed hulls 120 mg, Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) root 105 mg, Rheum officinale (turkey rhubarb) root 105 mg. All ingredients are extracted to 3:1, further diluted to 1:1 with alcohol and water.
Non-medicinal ingredients: Water, alcohol, alfalfa herb, barberry bark, ginger root and slippery elm bark.
Recommended Use:
Dosage (adults): Take 1 teaspoon (5 mL) once daily with a full glass of water or juice.
