Ocotea is extracted from the stem and leaves of the Ocotea quixos tree in Ecuador and has natural cleansing and purifying properties. It has a warm, spicy scent, much milder than cinnamon, but can be used in cooking in similar ways.

It also contains natural properties that are beneficial to the skin.

How to Use

Diffuse, directly inhale, or dilute and apply topically.

Topical: Dilute 1 drop with 4 drops of V-6™ Vegetable Oil Complex. Test on small area of skin on the underside of arm and apply to desired area as needed.

Aromatic: Diffuse or inhale directly for aromatherapy.

Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from eyes and mucous membranes. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition, consult a health professional prior to use. Avoid direct sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying product.

Culinary: Ocotea essential oil has been used as a flavouring since Incaic times, and modern Ecuadorians still use this spice during general cooking and the production of food for rituals.

Storage: Store in a cool, dark place.
