Recommended dose: Adults, take 1 tablet 3 times daily with meals. Duration of use: Use for minimum of 3 months. For prolonged use, consult a healthcare practitioner.
Cautions: Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use in the following circumstances: If you are taking hormone replacement therapy, if you are taking certain medication (including birth control medication, blood thinners, antiplatelet medication, antidepressants, antibiotics (such as Bactrim or Septra), if you experience gastrointestinal discomfort, if you have diabetes, if you have primary biliary cirrhosis, if you have ileostomy, have (or have had a history of) gallstones, neurodegenerative disorders (such as ALS, Parkinsons, dementia, Alzheimer's disease), diverticular disease, short bowel syndrome and are on total parenteral nutrition, or celiac disease (due to a decreased absorption of cholesterol in person with celiac disease). Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Use with caution if you are allergic to pine due to a cross-sensitivity of allergens (with beta-sitosterol). This product may influence laboratory tests, and it should be brought to the attention of your healthcare practitioner if you are undergoing tests (especially for liver or pancreas function). Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use to exclude a diagnosis of prostate cancer. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have liver disease or if you have been instructed to follow a low protein diet. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have a history on non-melanoma skin cancer. Contraindications: Do not take in the following circumstances: if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you are taking medication for diabetes and/or blood thinners, hypotension or hypertension, kidney disease. Discontinue if you experience nausea, headache, dizziness or gastrointestinal discomfort. Known adverse reactions: Nausea, headache, dizziness and gastrointestinal discomfort. |
