Don't Pay Twice for Your Health!

When it comes to your Health Supplements, Are you paying twice?

You may be paying top dollar for health products and programs, but if they contain harmful additives, by-products and sweeteners, they can be costing you your health as well instead of helping:

It’s that time of year where we all set goals for better health. Better health means different things to everyone. Weight loss, exercise, eating cleaner, less stress, or even more sleep, etc.

Whatever better health means to you, the tools you’re using should never come with more compromises to your health.

If it’s better and cleaner eating you’re working on, you need to start reading the ingredients. If your food is full of preservatives, colorings, artificial flavors or sweeteners, it’s actually not very healthy for you. Even though it says ‘low fat’ or ‘no sugar added’ that often means high sugar (in low fat products) or diet sugar is being used to sweeten. These are not something that will help you obtain your clean eating goals.

If weight loss is one of your goals, some clients look to prescription and or herbal remedies to help this or speed this process up.

Some people use prescriptions/drugs as an aid, as they are often covered medically. If so, then you need to look up the side effects. If there are side effects that can contribute to serious health risks, there is no point in causing new health issues. As much as your goal may be obtained weight loss, at what cost?

If your choice is alternative or all natural, good for you for making a better choice. However I caution you... Not all products out there are made with best intentions, ingredients, or the companies cut corners for cost. It’s unfortunate that you have to read the non-medicinal ingredients. Know the source of the products. Do your independent research. Make an informed decision. All too often we see products that are sweetened with Aspartame, Sorbitol and sucralose etc. To us that are aware, there are often other names for these ingredients that our clients and the general public aren’t familiar with. (*Below this article is a list of these hidden artificial sugar names)

Replacing sugar with artificial sweeteners may be doing your body more harm than good. Recent studies show that these chemically modified sweeteners can damage the way your body naturally processes sugar, making you much more susceptible to overeating. Because of the increasing public health warnings, food companies are now using obscure names to hide these artificial sweeteners in their products. This list will help you avoid these dangerous chemicals. Often these sugars aren’t broken down by the body and then create a build-up affecting the liver, kidneys, intestinal tract and even the health of the brain.

Some of the side effects can be:

Depleted gut flora (causing Gastrointestinal problems), Migraines, seizures, dizziness, blurred vison, allergic reactions & skin problems, Blood sugar increases, weight gain, high acidity, joint pain, heart palpitations/fluttering, anxiety, dizziness, depression are just to name a few….

Considering you paid good money for these products, it’s a shame to have to then pay with the quality of your health, or pay a third time with another health product to help heal and fix the damage caused by these ingredients. There is no reason for any company to add these to an all-natural health product.

Aside diet sugars in natural health products we also see Polyethylene Glycol. Side effects of polyethylene glycol are diarrhea, nausea, stomach cramps, and flatulence.

Please take the time to become knowledgeable to what you are putting in your body. Food and supplements come with a cost. How many times are you willing to 'pay'??
